This is where a lot of the little cowboy's and cowgirl's start out. I've been to it a few times, though I don't remember it well because it was quite a very long time ago. It is in High River, Alberta (I believe, anyway).

The children that participate in the Little Britches Rodeo are as young as 3 years old. Call me crazy, but it seems like a bad idea to strap a three year old to agitated livestock.

Some of the things that go on there:

Mutton Busting (Yes, they ride sheep'y things around!)
Amateur Bull/Bronco Riding
All of the regular rodeo events on a smaller scale.

Once again, this is kind of where I start to question some people's ideas of how to rear a child. I guess they do things a little differently in the cowboy world, but either way, I can't see myself ever putting my 7 year old on a pissed off bull. (They do it, seriously!)

It's kind of a cool idea, if not exceedingly dangerous at times.
