Just a quick update on the
British road-crossing scenario: vehicles are
required by law to give way to
pedestrians wanting to cross the road at a
zebra crossing. The only time they don't have to stop is if it would be unsafe for them to do so. However in
London and the other major cities, where
traffic density is very high and the law of the road becomes
survival of the fittest this rule is not adhered to as strictly as it ought to be.
And to reply to McSey, in Britain we drive on the right side of the road, which is of course the left side :-)
