An early Rush album, often times overshadowed by 2112, which came out of the same era. Personally, I feel as though this album is greatly under-rated. Although probably not a concept album, many sense an underlieing dark, and at times cynical, feel to the songs, stronger here than elsewhere in the Rush corpus. The albums high points: Bastille Day, a song about the French Revolution, Lakeside Park , a sad song reminicising about childhood memories, The Necromancer, a ten-minute fantasy based loosely on The Lord of The Rings, and, The Fountain Of Lamneth , a twenty minute epic, divided into several smaller parts, that describes the process of living life in terms of a quest.
