Initialism for Australian Cricket Board. The governing body over all cricketing matters in Australia. Has a strong influence on the ICC (International Cricket Council). Arguably the most successful project of the ACB has been the Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy where young cricketers (usually around 17-22) attend for a year to prepare themselves to become Test Cricketers. The ACB has also come under fire in recent year over its "horses for courses" national selection policy, where some big name players had been dropped from the test team. See Shane Warne.
