Cat Lady Day approaches: my daughter is off to Thailand Monday.

Then it will be just me and the cat. And deer. And birds.

It is deer season in our small town. I drove down to the coffee shop early the other day: I saw two pairs of twin fawns and two singletons, all with moms, so nine deer in about a mile. A photograph on Facebook recently showed a fawn nursing in the middle of a fairly busy street here: two cars waiting.

It is tourat season too. Starting at the Rhody Festival, the tourats arrive. Downtown parking gets pretty weird. Centrum fires up. This week is Voice Works. I hope I will have the energy after work to go to the concert tomorrow. It should be fabulous. Dang ol' work, otherwise I could spend the week singing. Maybe next year.

My daughter finished high school and will be off to college in September. My son finished college, bought a used car, drove to Maryland and started his job last Monday. Tuesday he called with questions about life insurance, disability insurance and so forth....

Change....
