How to Talk Minnesotan is a book that was written by Howard Mohr. This book is a complete guide to not only the grammar but etiquette in Minnesota, and a good deal of other states in the Midwest. It can teach those foreign to Minnesota's icy borders how to use phrases such as, "Oh for crying in the rain", and how much time should be left open for the "long goodbye".

I have lived in Minnesota for over a decade now and can assure you that everything that you read in this book, is completely based in fact. You may think that you can leave a home in under 15 minutes, but listen to Mohr's words of wisdom on this subject. I know several Wisconsinites who read this before coming here and consider it to be their Minnesotan Bible. If you find that you will be in the area for any reason, read and learn.
