Well, it is better than the old Susan B. Anthony Dollar, but I am not sure how successful the new coin will be. I finally got my first ones last week at the post office when buying a book of stamps. At least it does not look like a quarter, but the problem is that it also does not age very well. Two of the ones I got were already looking somewhat tarnished, probably due to a copper base in the coin. Also, despite the fact that Wal-Mart is supposed to be giving these out in change, I have never received one from there. Frankly, I liked the old Eisenhower Dollar from the 1970's the best. Yes, it was big and clumsy but you knew what it was, and it had a cool obverse, showing the moon. But dollar coins will not be popular in the United States until the one dollar bill is phased out.
