In New York State, means "Board Of Cooperative Educational Services."

Essentially, a technical/occupational/vocational school. Many exist in the state. Reccomended for those not pursuing college, helps people get a leg up on a job out of high school. You're not prevented, however, from going to college if you're in BOCES. There is more than 1 BOCES session, broken up into AM and PM classes. Usually, the PM school is more popular.

There is a vast range of curricula availible; culinary arts, computer repair, secretary training,electronics repair, business training, floral arrangements, MCSE and CISCO certification, to name a few.
