Come As You Are is the title of an immensely enjoyable book by Michael Azerrad that tells the story of Nirvana. Azerrad does a great job of documenting the lives of band members Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl, and Krist Novoselic. Very well written and thorough. The book offers many relevant insights into Nirvana's music among other things. It also offers numerous funny stories about the band; I was interested to learn that Kurt Cobain was once a janitor at a YMCA who spent most of his time there cleaning up grafitti which he himself made, and that Nirvana didn't only destroy their instruments onstage when they were famous and had the money to replace them. In addition to being amusing, Come As You Are accurately describes the tragedy that surrounded Nirvana, especially frontman Kurt Cobain. Basically, it's a fascinating book which captures the spirit of Nirvana. Read it.
