Aurora shoes are made by the Aurora shoe company, located about 3 or 4 miles south of Aurora, NY. They have been making shoes in Aurora since 1991.
Aurora shoes are loafer-like leather shoes with a small old-fashioned buckle accross the top. The manufacturers claim that the cut of the shoes, (wider at the toes) and the over-all design is specialized so that they conform to the wearer's foot over time, and become "the wearer's shoes".
Acording to their website these shoes are distributed in certain markets nation wide and in Japan. They are very comon in the Ithaca-Aurora-Wells College area, but only among those who can afford to pay for hand-made leather shoes.
