1893-1980. Great old school jazz singer and comedian, known for his beeg schnozzola -- his career spanned vaudeville, radio, talkies, TV, night clubs, and Vegas. Closing line (a catchphrase in its day, spoken in his gutteral Paisano Straight Outta Loisaida voice, as he slowly exited the stage) at the end of his television show: "Good night, Mrs Calabash, wherever you are!" Ended career doing TV commercials, for Kellogg's Corn Flakes and (IIRC) Polident.
