Formed in 1970, the band included, at various times, David O'List, Brian Eno, Eddie Jobson, John Wetton, and many more; their nucleus included Bryan Ferry (vocals - founder and failed King Crimson tryout), Andy Mackay (woodwinds), and Phil Manzanera (guitars). They evolved over the 70's/80's from goofy anarchic postmodern rock'n'pop (recommended: Roxy Music and For Your Pleasure) to Euro-soul audiophile lushness (Flesh and Blood;Avalon).
