The P-Funk horn section; trombonist Fred Wesley, saxophonist Maceo "A shoutout to all my friends in K-Town" Parker, and trumpeters Kush Griffith and Rick Gardner. Wesley and Parker were refugees (along with the Collins brothers Catfish and Bootsy) from the JBs (circa "Sex Machine", a Finest Hour) and its sometimes heavy-handed Führer of Funk James Brown. They recorded a few early-80s LPs under their own name, as part of the Parliafunkadelicment Thang world domination scheme.
