A method of cheating in baseball (cheating is one of the game's longest-running traditions). It involves replacing the core of the business end of a baseball bat with, for instance, cork, ball bearings, or superballs, in order to add more oomph to a batted ball. It's grounds for a player's suspension nowadays; Albert Belle is a 90s poster boy for cork. Some retired players have confessed to their past bat-corking, for example, Norm Cash and Ken Harrelson.
