Formerly known as Cableinet, blueyonder is Telewest Comminucation's Internet service.
BY became only the second ISP in the UK to offer flat-rate Internet access. They were quickly overwhelmed with demand after they started the flat-rate service and took many long months to fix their infrastructure to cope with the massive number of users they had, although this is preferrable to some other ISPs who simply banned users who they deemed to be abusing their 24/7 access by being online 24/7.
They are currently trying to rollout a cable modem service but it is already several months behind schedule after years of careful planning. Sometime in the distant future they might actually reach my franchise area.
