Denver. The mountain has 25 lifts and 2,000 acres of terrain, and the summit stands at 12,998 feet.
Breckenridge has lift access to three peaks and access by t-bar and good old-fashioned foot power to several alpine bowls. There are two base areas and various on-mountain retail locations and restaurants designed to sap you of your financial resources ("Nine dollars for a burger?" "Yeah, it... uh... costs a lot to... uh... get food up on a mountain like this..."), so bring your own food!
Breckenridge is considered to be one of the best resorts in the US, especially for snowboarders. There are two terrain parks, a smaller one that's good for learners and a huge, competition sized park with a 14-ft superpipe.
The problem of stupid rich yuppies is not nearly as bad at Breckenridge as it is at Vail, Beaver Creek, and other nearby ski areas because Breckenridge is more steeped in snowboarder culture than any of these mountains. I recommend Breck for anyone of just about any skill level at skiing or snowboarding who wants to vacation or just bum around for a few years.
