1. 1975 film about a pair of Chicago teens, played by Glynn Turman and Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (Freddy "Boom Boom" Washington of Welcome Back Kotter fame) approaching graduation in 1964. This is a very moving movie with real comedy and emotion. In fact, it was the first movie I ever cried seeing. I saw it when I was a senior in high school myself, and when G. C. Cameron's classic (later remade by Boyz II Men) It's So Hard To Say Goodbye to Yesterday started playing during a poignant scene, I went like Niagra Falls. My eyes are moist now just thinking about it. Boyz II Men's first album Cooleyhighharmony was inspired by this film.

  2. High School in Detroit which has a rather distinguished history in basketball.
