A fond memory of life on Earth, presumably thought by 2000 man as he hurtles into the cosmos, alone. The solitude he finds in his spaceship causes him to reflect upon life on Earth more fondly than he might have felt while residing there. A man of science, he is sent into space on an unknown mission, possibly by Hewlett himself, as references are made insinuating that Hewlett and 2000 man might have been scientific partners (who, a couple of years ago, created Jeddy 3, a robot who experienced the same loneliness as 2000 man and, after penning some poems, ultimately drank himself to death)
