Waldo "Diminished Responsibility" Dobbs is the central character in Alan Moore's D.R. & Quinch stories. D.R., a skinny green alien with an Elvis-style haircut, is a college student and hardened criminal by profession.
D.R. shares Quinch's interest in thermonuclear weaponry and general mayhem, but is very much the brains of the outfit, and even displays a sensitive side: in D.R. & Quinch go Girl-Crazy he discovers a talent as an actor, and in D.R. & Quinch Get Drafted he is driven to rail against the madness of war in several heartfelt poems:
We could be sat under sunkissed skies
Watching the buphlunks grazing.
But instead we're here on Ghoyogi
Which is, like, totally amazing.
