A powerful utility written by the
Linux-Mandrake development team that allows the user to download and install pre-compiled packages for your Mandrake system without the pain of searching all over the
internet for the
programs you forgot or didn't think you would need during setup.
It features a simple
GUI that any
newbie could easily figure out. This
RPM program allows you to check which programs you already have installed and search for new ones. All you have to do is check the packages you wish to get, press the
Install/Remove button and it will automatically
download any required dependencies along with what you want.
There is also a feature that shows updated packages (relative to the ones you currently have installed) so you can easily
upgrade your
software.
