This is one of those movies where you
like it, you
hate it, or you're
indifferent to it. Except that I
loved it.
You can get the details about the flick from The Internet Movie Database. The main thing I want to express is the strong friendship/loyalty theme present:
- Even though Julian steals Clay's girlfriend while Clay is off at college, Clay continues to stand by Julian and supports him during his extremely screwy antics involving drugs and crime.
- Even though Blair (the girlfriend) has betrayed Clay by cheating, Clay forgives her (okay, he has been lonely off at college probably).
I know, two points does not make for a convincing argument about the theme. But the movie is very
intense, and has a great
soundtrack (especially
Hazy Shade of Winter). I am
touched every time I watch this movie.
