The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council is a not-for-profit industry body, representing the interests of the sausage and hot dog industry of the United States of America, and is headquartered in Washington, D.C.

The NHDASC is a project of the American Meat Institute Foundation, and was established in the year 1994.

The NHDASC has two main published functions: firstly, it conducts scientific research in the benefit of the hot dog and sausage industry, and secondly, to provide a service as an information clearing house to hot dog and sausage consumers and the media. Information regarding quality, safety, nutrition and preparation of hot dogs and sausages is made available via printed leaflets and the world wide web (www.hot-dog.org).
