This band formed briefly in
1986 in the
Washington, D.C. area. This group's primary
claim to fame was the fact that Guy Piccioto and Brendan Canty were in the group. Immediately following the breakup, these two went on to help form the legendary
punk/
post-punk band
Fugazi.
One Last Wish played a number of live shows and released two
albums: 1986's fittingly titled "
1986" and
1989's
posthumous release, "
State of the Union". Their music sounds quite a bit like Fugazi would sound without the distinctive vocals of Ian MacKaye but with a bit more
eighties-esque influence to the music.
