While it was repealed by the Twenty-First Amendment ( Amendment XXI) much of Prohibition's legacy remains today. Entire states remained 'dry' until the 70's, and many counties in rural areas still are. (More than half the counties in Arkansas are 'dry' as of 2001.) But even more than that, some drugs that were prohibited alongside alcohol were never relegalized - most notably, Cocaine and Marijuana - and so prohibition remains with us in the form of the war on drugs.
