Actress in the early 1930's known mostly for her
terrific figure and ability to turn any phrase into a
sexual innuendo by mere
voice inflection. Things got so bad that the studios had
advisors stand
off-camera and listen to make sure that she didn't
inadvertently make some
innocuous lines sound
dirty. Is almost
single-handedly responsible for bringing about the
Hays Code.
