Because his bed is warm and safe,
He stops asking me things
and sticks his ass in the air like a mountain.
This is how Ben sleeps,
comfortable
on his knees with his face in his blankie.
He needs to know
the wheres and whys and hows and whos
but he is still
a chubby grubby boy who sometimes needs a nap
and today he rests quietly,
content.
