With 42 locations across southeastern Wisconsin, George Webb is an enduring landmark for many cheeseheads. It is a greasy spoon, it is open 24 hours, you do get free hamburgers when the Milwaukee Brewers win 12 in a row, but the chain has long been known for its bag of burgers and two wall clocks.

The bag of burgers is straightforward enough: a cheap, greasy pile of cow for the fattest state in the Union. The two wall clocks, however, prove that you don't have to have class to have tradition. When George Webb was a younger, though no less greasy spoon, local law did not allow for a restaurant to be open 24 hours a day. So, a second wall clock was installed, set exactly one minute behind the first. Technically, the restaurant was closed for one minute each day on one clock, while it remained open on the other.
