You've all had one played against you at one point in your life. You may not have even noticed, you may have played one against someone else knowingly or not but it is almost certain that you have encountered one.

A mind game can be anything from reverse psychology to taunting and teasing.

Generally any time that you think you've been played for a fool or are being played for a fool it's the result of a mind game. They are annoying but sometimes useful. It all depends on the context.

Mean spirited people like to play them to extremes and get some kind of delight from making other people hurt. Watch out for these people. When you do discover that they're playing mind games with you don't just confront them, they can usually make you feel bad for doing that. Instead play along and throw it back in their face ever so slightly. Eventually the tables will turn and you'll be the one playing the mind games. :) That's only fun for awhile though and you have to move deal with the issues and move on. This is a very difficult thing to do. :(

I don't like them, but they haunt my life, a life that could be so much more....
