A person with whom one
partner dances (
waltz,
tango,
foxtrot,
salsa,
ceroc,
jive, …) on a regular basis. Often but not always an exclusive relationship,
dance partners often compete in dance competitions together.
Dance partners are commonly also sexual partners and the relationship between dancers often works better with a little sexual tension because dance is a vertical expression of a horizontal desire.
