A movie, directed and written by Christopher McQuarrie. In the film Ryan Phillippe and Benicio del Toro play amateur gun men who after realizing that their lives have no practical application turn to crime as a source of income. After their car breaks down in the Arizona desert, they go to a sperm bank to donate, and therefore, earn some cash. While there they over hear a conversation between a clerk and an unknown party on the phone, describing a surrogate mother of an incredibly wealthy man. Of course, having no money or direction, they decide to kidnap her. This leads to some of the most spectacular gun battles and chase scenes ever in a movie, and some of them aren't even on screen. The movie does a wonderful job of illustrating the criminal element, showing that each member of the situation has his own motivations, all of them extreme. Something that may bother most people is that there is no good guy or bad guy in this film. By the end, you realize they are all just people, far away from where they should be and trying to cover their asses. Recommended for mature audiences, extreme gore and violence is prevalent.
