Dino d is a "joke" defence in
Ultimate frisbee. 6 defenders surround the offensive player with the disc and attempt to block all low throws. The one remaining player has to cover the remaining six players on the other team. Basically the defence is trying to make the player with the disc throw a
hammer,
blade or
scoober so that the single defender can chase it down and knock it out of the air.
Effective?- not usually, but it is the only defence that I have ever played where I had to stop running because I was laughing too hard. It's a fun defence to play in a noncompetitive pickup game or at the end of practice when everybody is tired.
