The immortal lines spoken by Charlton Heston in his magnum opus Planet of the Apes. It's what his character, Col. George Taylor, calls his ape captors.

However, this phrase has survived beyond the movie and has become indelibly tied to Chuck himself. Now every time I see him speaking, I can't help but append these words to the end of everything he says. Works really well now that he's NRA führer. For example, at his re-election acceptance speech last May, he was heard to remark:

"So as we set out this year to defeat the divisive forces that would take our freedom away, I want to say those words again for everyone within the sound of my voice to hear and to heed, and especially for you, Mr. Gore..."

He lifts a shotgun over his head

"From my cold dead hands, you damn dirty ape!"

See? It just fits.
