I started noticing the lack of pens at my local bank just recently.
There are only three pens available in the whole building.
Those three pens are attached to the desks and guarded as if they were the last pens in the whole world.
This afternoon I realized that the amount of pens is directly equivalent to the amount of trust a bank puts in its customers.
Isn't
it a little bit strange that an institution, which has received a
large amount of money and credence from its customers, puts so little
trust in them that it has to guard its 5p pens?
