Oroborus doesn't provide any kind of dock, taskbar, root menu, background changer or program launcher. It is designed to operate alongside other applications which provide these features.

Oroborus was created by Ken Lynch. Its name and icon are taken from the mythical autocannibalistic serpent, which is described at Ouroboros.
