Simon's Rock College - The Campus

Dorms

Dolliver House - Male freshman dorm. The majority of the troubledoers and ne'er-do-wells reside here, and much chaos is generally had on a daily basis. Parietals in effect and easily enforced.
Crosby House - Female freshman dorm, located across from Dolliver. Parietals in effect and moderately enforced.
Kendrick House - Co ed freshman dorm, and is generally considered to house the sketchier students of SRC. Kendrick has the koi pond and Kendrick Pit, and the suite setup as opposed to dorm-style halls make it one of the more desired locations on campus to stay in. Parietals in effect but lightly enforced. Also the home of Kendrick Bridge.
Hill House - Sophomore (and some upperclassmen) housing. Opened in Fall '02, and contains one of Great Barrington's three elevators. There is controversy over the floor naming conventions (Ground, 1st, and 2nd as opposed to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd). This year has seen three housekeepers quit their jobs.
Foster Houses (the Mods) - Built during the 70s to house construction workers expanding the campus, the mods are still desired by many due to the kitchens that each house has as well as the relative freedom it affords. Many parties go on in the mods of an unwholesome nature.
The Owl's Nest - Formerly student housing, closed this year and is generally used by visiting musical acts. To be razed in preparation for the new Student Union.
the Gatehouse - Formerly upperclass housing, currently under renovations. Future home of ex-dean Bernie Rodgers
Orchard Houses - Upperclass housing. Generally desired by Seniors due to the relatively close location to main campus.
Pibly - Upperclass housing, on Upper Campus. Former gym converted to apartments.
Carriage House - Upperclass housing, on Upper Campus, across from Pibly.

Classroom Buildings

The Classrooms - Two classroom buildings, nothing particularly special.
Fisher Science & Academic Center - Houses Clark Auditorium, the chemistry and physics labs, a computer lab, and faculty offices.
The Alumni Library - Computer lab, two floors of book-like goodness, conference rooms, the atrium where Ace and Deuce resided (RIP), and so on.
Kellogg Music Center - Home of the music studios and the much-used MIDI studio. To be replaced with the nARC.

The ARC - Being replaced by the nARC, see below

Leibowitz Arts and Humanities Building - Includes classrooms, faculty offices, the non linear editing lab, and the dance studio.
Arts Center - Includes the Doreen Young Gallery, the photography studios, the digital art lab, and the theatre.

Administration/Other Points of Interest

Hall College Center - Faculty offices, the mailroom, the business office, Student Life, Computing and Media Services, Academic Affairs, and the Dean's office.
Kilpatrick Athletic Center - Boasts an indoor track above the basketball court, a rock climbing wall, a weight room and aerobics room, a pool, and more. Home of most RAP programs, open to the Great Barrington community.
Blodgett House - Admissions, other /administrivia.
The Dining Hall/Student Union - Institutional food on top, snack bar and weekend concerts on the bottom. God only knows what acts have been committed upon the pool table.
The Cottage - Health Services (or Death Services depending on who you ask)
The Rock - Yes, it exists. Take a right on draB Ave on the way to upper campus and you'll find it near the maple sugar shack.
the Security Shack - They watch over us while we sleep, ticket cars for driving too fast on campus, and register guests.
Siberia - Fields above and below Fisher. Great for staring at the stars on a clear night.
The Daniel Arts Center - New $12 million building, officially opened in May 2004. First classes will take place in Fall '04. Deserves a node of its own. A black spot on SRC history, as the status of several allegedly unpaid workers was a sore point between the administration and the Student Labor Alliance. Nobody quite knows what to call it yet, it's either the nARC (New ARC), the dARC, the DAC, the VacTacPac (Visual Arts Center/Theater Arts Center/Performing Arts Center), the TicTacDacVacPaddyWacPac (seen on a poster promoting a student film screening), or simply The Daniel. Only time will tell which will become commonplace.
Physical Plant - Across from the nARC. They keep the school functioning and oversee maintenance and construction.
