What if we disagree? Sometimes I provide you with evidence supporting my position, but instead of looking it over, you find people who agree with you, and you ask them if they agree with you, and they say yes. Does that make it more difficult for us to find some agreement? What if you're right? I can't change my mind just because you found some more people who agree with you. Sometimes you find evidence for me to look over, and I look it over, and I see flaws in it, and I show them to you, and you get angry.

What if over half of everyone is wrong about something? It happened before. Twice, at least.

Sometimes Common Sense needs to be spread around, and sometimes that causes problems. If you're going to ignore the evidence I offer, and it motivates you to find people who will strengthen your emotional attachment to a position I think is wrong, I guess I ought to give up. When you have more faith in your powers of thinking, let me know, and we can talk.
