independent record label.
In their younger years, they were a force in punk and hardcore music, picking up many amazing artists. Caroline released the debut albums of many bands, including The Misfits, Primus, Hole, Ben Folds Five, Bad Brains, Smashing Pumpkins, David Gray and many others.
They distribute several other labels, and they have a very large progressive music catalog including Fugazi, Minor Threat and D.O.A.. Some of their more recent labels house a variety of electronica - Thievery Corporation, Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, et cetera.
They are currently a subsidiary of Virgin (EMI Group).
