Sippits

Pieces or bits of dry toast or fried bread, cut into a triangular shapes smaller than toast points, most often served with, or used to garnish, puréed soups en lieu of oyster crackers or croutons to provide moments of additional interest by way of texture.

(Sippit is an alternative spelling of sippet, and indeed are the same thing.)
