This oft-used quote is usually accompanied by the image of a grey and white rabbit balancing a pancake atop his head.

Oolong was a rabbit. A good rabbit. A god among rabbits, perhaps. Unlike mere pedestrian rabbits, Oolong had the ability to balance objects on his head.
What type of objects, one might ask? Well, most notably, a pancake. Oolong has also been known to balance cupcakes, teacups, gloves, and, in a rare feat, ten cookies.
Now, some may consider this to be an average occurrence, but those wayward souls among us are obviously not acquainted with the central nervous systems of Oryctolagus cuniculus. Rabbits, like most living creatures, pull away at excessive pressure just as they would pull away from painful stimuli
Oolong the rabbit, named for a common variety of tea, was born on July 28, in Hokkaido, Japan. His owner, Hironori Akutagawa, created an online photodiary to share his pet’s talents with family and friends, obviously underestimating the impact that Oolong would have on the denizens of cyberspace. Translated, the title of each photographic entry becomes “The rabbit of this day was observed this way.” Oolong’s first observed incident of cranial balance occurred on May 24, 1999.
In addition to his peculiar talents, Oolong was also known to enjoy meadows and excursions in the snow.
Unfortunately, as of January 7, 2003, Oolong’s talents were lost to the world. In response to the death of his pet, Hironori Akutagawa posted the following message:
I’m sorry for this sudden news, Oolong passed away on January 7th.
He was so well and cheerful as usual, but at 14:30 his condition changed suddenly, and he couldn’t support himself less and less, seemed to feel dull. Then at 19:30, he softly stopped breathing in the arms of his owner and completed his eight years and five months and more several days life filled with various adventure.
Since opening this website, Oolong had gotten incredible lots of support from all over the world, not only in Japan, more than 25 countries. Surely he seems to be the best fortunate rabbit in the world.
