On Noding Places in the United States, final act.
The conversion of US place names to City, Full state name format is pretty much complete. Some of you got interesting messages from Klaproth as some writeups were moved in a slighty unorthodox manner. Sorry.
Guidelines have been added to the Pick Titles Carefully document. We'd also like everyone to pitch in and note the following:
- We've found most of them. If we missed something that's not a major city, please file a title edit request and we'll get those too.
- It would be VERY helpful if active users edited their own writeups to match the new standard, where necessary. Noding is as much about maintaining one's older work as it is about adding new content. The editorial staff will slowly chew its way through the work of inactive users, an enormous job that we're not overly looking forward to but which has to be done.
- Pipe links are highly recommended for displaying the short form of a place name and linking to the proper title. Use them liberally.
