Angerona is a little known roman deity; one of the many less important deities that the Romans populated their pantheon with (there seems to be a kind of similarity between these less known gods and second importance entertainers spending their time in late afternoon talk shows, but this topic would need a node by itself). Angerona is mostly known to day for her festivity, that roman historians dutifully reported to be on December 21; it was called Angeronalia.

It's not exactly sure what her cult was about; some say she was the deity of silence and counsels, other say she was the mistresses of secret loves. This second theory seems to be a little bit more likely, as images of Angerona (a face with bandaged eyes and a finger to her lips for silence) were found in the temple of Voluptas (the roman goddess for love).
