I was diagnosed with ADHD at the end of last year, yet another late in life AFAB diagnosis. I just got prescribed some medicine for it last Wednesday and I feel, for the first time, like a functioning person. In fact, I can even stay awake all day without a thousand naps now!

I am so thankful I was able to get a screening quickly and that the diagnosis came almost as quickly. It was a long road to getting medicine, not because of the shortages, but because I had other medicine that was causing me problems. But once that was sorted I was prescribed my new favorite thing: concerta.

I have no adverse side effects (so far) and I can focus! I can not only start, but also finish tasks. There is no dread, no inability to move, to decide - I can just do! My house is cleaner than it’s been in months and I have plans for so many more projects around here.

I hope, if you’re reading this, you’re in as good a mood as I am. I hope you’re taking care of yourself.
