Today I received one large installment payment of the future that science fiction promised me.

I watched a rocket ship land itself, tail first, intact, on a tiny ship miles out into the ocean so that it might be used again.

Engineering in the internet sense isn't hard. It's just a job. It can be rewarding, and it can be hard if you get the chance to really test yourself, but that's not the norm.

Rocket science is rocket science. Space is hard. And to everyone who works at SpaceX, or worked there before on these systems, a heartfelt congratulations and a very sincere thank you for making some of my childhood dreams, so very self-assured of how the future would be, come true.

Thank you, Falcon 9.

Thank you, ASDS Of Course I Still Love You.

NAILED IT.
