The K1200LT is
BMW's entry into the full-dress, heavy-weight, extreme-comfort, long-distance
touring segment of the
motorcycle market.
It has a 1200cc DOHC inline four-cylinder motor in the standard K-bike configuration, a six-speed transmission, integrated hard luggage, and far too many comfort and convenience features to list here.
Until the Honda GoldWing GL1800 came out in 2000, the LT was widely acclaimed as the best luxury-tourer on the market. Now it has some competition.
