Ben Stone, the
excutive assistant district attorney on
Law and Order from
1990 to
1994, was played by
Michael Moriarty. He's famous for many things, one being his "
Time's Up" deals that occured in a few
episodes - he would put a
deal on the table for a
criminal and give him an
arbitrary amount of
time to accept the deal or
accept no mercy. Unlike his
successor,
Jack McCoy, he would express either no emotion, or feigned surprise, while making deals with criminals. Very
amusing in his own way.
