The British Book Award for TV and Film Book of the Year is one of the current categories of the British Book Awards having featured since the year 2003.
Strangely enough, when the award was sponsored by Channel 4 (a television company) it was won by books which were had a tie-in with a current television series, but since it has been sponsored by Play.com (an internet retailer of DVDs amongst other things) it has been won by novels which have been made into films.
