The foremost expert on
Hadith, one of the primary sources of religion of
Islam. Hadith is the general name given to the collection of narrations of the actions and sayings of the prophet
Muhammad. His full name was: bu Abdullah, Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ibrahim bin Al-Mughira bin Bardizbah Al-Ju'fi Al-Bukhari. He was born about 813
CE and died about 870CE.
His collection of sayings called Sahih Bukhari is widely accepted among Muslims as the most authoritative source of Hadith. It consists of narrations of more than 2,600 incidents, including complete (and in most cases, multiple) chains of narration (i.e. Bukhari heard it from A who heard it from B ... who heard it from G who heard it from Muhammad), with very stringent rules for acceptance into the collection.
