The worst sinners of Dante's universe are housed here.
They are the ones guilty of treacherous fraud.

Also the name of the ninth circle of hell of Dante's Inferno. It is composed of 4 sections, vis.:

• Caina
• Antenora
• Tolomea
• Judecca

These are in order of their vicinity to the center of the earth and the bottom of Hell, where Lucifer hangs out.
