5 minutes: I promise to...

...finish this before five minutes are up."

"Five minutes? Is that all you got? I don't know if that's even -"

He held up his hand, demanded total silence. His fingers went to the symbol on the wall.

It ignited. The stone that was once cold and gray now shone bright white.

They joined hands. The charge went through their bodies and into the wall. The symbol became so bright it was blinding. A minute later, the neighborhood experienced a midnight dawn. A light so bright that neighbors began opening their doors and dogs began to bark.

It was too late to turn back now. Not when they were this close.
