The original name to the poem that eventually became "The Star-Spangled Banner". It was named as such because Francis Scott Key wrote the poem during the British assult on Fort McHenry during the War of 1812.
A while later, it was found out that singing it was very patriotic sounding, and so the later printings indicate that is may be sung to the tune of "To Anacreon in Heaven". Nobody is sure whether this was Key's idea, or whether his brother-in-law had made the connection, but to this day the National Anthem of the USA is sung to the tune of a British drinking song.
